After the demise of the Zimbabwe Writers Union which was indeed a union of/for writers, the authors were neglected like they were orphans. With the coming of Zimbabwe Writers Association (ZWA) this year, we hope that the situation will change. There are indeed so many gaps in the letrary sector which sometimes the smaller writers' associations are not able to address. ZWA, we hope, shall bring back sanity in the writers' world in Zimbabwe. Writers International Newtork Zimbabwe fully supports ZWA which, as an umbrella body for all writers, will also help today's writers' children and other budding writers in the future.
