In the early evening of October 16, 2012, writers in Harare met at the Spanish Embassy's Culture Centre to take pleasure in a reading by award-winning short story writer Memory Chirere. The discussion was one of the regular book club meetings initiated by the Culture Centre this year. Chirere read with touching lucidity a story from his collection Tudikidiki and then later invited writers to comment, ask questions and discuss different aspects of the story. The short story was translated into English to benefit book club members who do not understand Shona. Below are pictures from the book club discussion:
