WIN-Zim Upgrades Manuscript Assessment Programme

Writer Memory Chirere is one of established writers who have inspired members of WIN. Here he was captured reading from his book 'Tudikidiki' at the official launch of the Epworth Community Outreach Programme last year in Epworth

Two-time NAMA Awards nominated WIN-Zimbabwe has intensified its efforts to set up a team of established writers that will look into members’ manuscripts with the aim to identify publishable works.
Local published writers have so far put weight behind the association’s re-designed manuscript assessment programme, with three of them already confirming their willingness to start reading manuscripts. A few more established writers are yet to confirm.
Tinashe Muchuri, Memory Chirere and Eresina Hwede are some of the writers who have showed support to the programme. They will assess WIN members’ manuscripts and generate reader’s reports with recommendations to help the new writers and in the process, identify publishable works.
The programme is vital to the Publishing Unit which WIN is envisioning and for which it has begun looking for more support in all forms possible.
For more information on the manuscript assessment programme, please do not hesitate to contact the WIN office.
